Zsuzsanna Lénárt-Muszka is a Ph.D. candidate and part-time instructor at the University of Debrecen, Hungary. Her current research area is the representation of maternal bodies and maternal subjectivities in African American literature and visual culture in contemporary works by and about African American women. Her articles have appeared both in Hungarian and English in journals such as TOPOS (2012), Alföld (2018), HJEAS (2019), Watermark (2018), and Colorado Critical Review (2018). She is a co-organizer of the annual Young Researchers Workshop in Debrecen, and of the panel Black Women’s Experiences of Trauma at the 2019 conference of the Hungarian Association of American Studies. She has taught and collaborated in the development of courses on media and advertising, business English, and English language teaching methodology. Her other research and teaching interests are within the pedagogy and methodology of higher education and include the development of debating skills in the classroom.
