Iva Grgić Maroević , an associate professor at the Department of Italian Studies, University of Zadar, is the author of many scholarly articles dealing with the fields of Italian studies, translation studies and women's/gender studies published in Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and Switzerland. She is also the author of the volumes Osman i njegovi dvojnici (Osman and His Doubles, 2004.) and Poetike prevođenja (The Poetics of Translation, 2009.). She has translated a series of important Italian and English literary works, and also works from the fields of linguistics, history and art history. She is the editor of “Selected Works of Luigi Pirandello” (2001) and several collections of papers dedicated to literary translation published by the Croatian Association of Literary Translators. For her work as a translator, Iva Grgić Maroević has been awarded the “Frano Čale” prize (1993, Italian Institute of Culture, Zagreb) and the “Josip Tabak” prize (2014, DHKP).
