Ivana Škevin is assistant professor in Romance Philology at the Department of Italian Studies, University of Zadar. Her research interests lie primarily at the intersections of Italian-Croatian linguistic and cultural contacts, primarily in the fields of sociolinguistics, dialectology and semiotics. Her current interests revolve around the questions of language change and semiotic spaces, language and social identity as well as the identity aspects in media discourse.
