Aaron Duplantier is a PhD student at LSU with a concentration in Cultural Studies, emphasizing popular culture. He holds a B.A. in Language and Literature and an M.A. in Creative Writing from Southeastern Louisiana University. His primary areas of study include realistic televisual representation, especially that of American reality shows like Jersey Shore and Wife Swap, issues regarding postmodernity and the 21st Century's “regime of computation,” and Louisiana folklore. He teaches composition, literature, and popular culture classes.
