Mavis Chia-Chieh Tseng, Taipei Medical University, Taiwan

Mavis Chia-Chieh Tseng is an Assistant Professor in the Language Center at Taipei Medical University. She received her PhD in Comparative Literature at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, in 2013. She translated Critical Social Theory: Culture, Society and Critique from English to Chinese and also served as co-translator for the book Profiles in Contemporary Social Theory. Her publications have addressed visual culture, urban modernity, Kate Chopin, Virginia Woolf, Kazuo Ishiguro, Walter Benjamin, and Jacques Tati’s works. Her current research project, funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of China (Taiwan), focuses on the malleability of memory and unreliable narrators in contemporary British novels.
